Features
- * The YN 50mm f/1.8S DA DSM is a portrait fixed-focus lens in a compact design, a 75mm equivalent lens designed for APS-C format Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras.
- * Designed for operation in low-light conditions, the lens' bright f/1.8 design also provides enhanced control over depth of field to isolate the subject.
- * The optical design includes a low-dispersion element that helps reduce chromatic aberration and color fringing, and a nano-multi-layer coating is applied to suppress flare and ghosting to improve contrast in bright light conditions.
- * The optics are balanced by a DSM autofocus system that promotes fast and quiet focus performance for photo and video applications.
- * A seven-blade diaphragm helps achieve smooth bokeh quality. The chrome-plated metal lens mount is durable and accurate for a secure fit to the camera body.

Balance between quality and price/I highly recommend it
I used it on a Sony A6000, and fantastic, it's still focusing on faces, but if it takes too long to focus on objects, the tracking isn't that fast, and the lens isn't stabilized, but when I use it on an A7III, things change completely, if the eye focus works, and the stabilization of the camera helps a lot, the entity is very light and very small, which helps a lot when traveling... I highly recommend it, the bad thing is that they don't give a Mexican bill as the distributor in Puebla.

Great value Prime Lens for Sony A6000
I bought the lens to take photos of indoor sports events. I took the lens out yesterday to just take some Black and White landscape in the woods to check sharpness of the lens. The photo attached was taken with a Sony A6000 iso 200 with aperture BELOW F8 and sharpness of the lens is apparent. Did some tests to check focusing and motor noise and found it to be quiet and relatively quick. The lens is light because it it plastic body; but this makes it easy to handle... So far I am very impressed with the lens. I will plan to update and attach some club volleyball photos next week with respect to focusing speed. All over and amazing. lens for the money.

Great lens for new photographers
Worth every penny. Obviously the F1.8 anti glare and sharpness are at different level compared with Sigma 56 f1.4. But if you don’t have problem with F2.8 or F4, it can give you great sharpness. I am using my old A6000, and the lens works very well with it.

The best budget 50mm lens for Sony APS-C
There are just a few reviews of this lens out there, but they are enough to generate good expectations.
One thing that those reviews mention is that the lens is completely made of plastic and it feels kind of cheap. However, the lens has a better build quality than I expected and it does not feel that "plasticky". Also, the lens hood is thick enough and feels well build. It is lightweight though.
Now let's talk about its performance.
Autofocus: My first impression of using this lens on my a6300 for video and photos is that its autofocus works way better than I expected. It's not as fast as native Sony lenses, but it makes a good job. In extreme conditions of light (too bright or too dark) the lens may doubt itself a few millisecond, but in the end, it can focus even in those situations.
Image quality: I'm not an expert in this field, however, in just a few words I can say that in the usual means of photo and video visualization you won't notice you are using a budget lens. Taking into account the results you can get with that wide aperture and 50mm, you will get pretty professional-like results using this lens in photos and videos.
I consider this lens is a definite "buy". It has a similar price to some budget prime manual lenses, but with this Yongnuo, you are getting not only good image quality but also autofocus capability.

Nice budget lens
I really like this lens, it worth it for being a budget lens, its AF it’s no the fastest one but it’s good, works very well, making images sharp, and no that much chromatic Aberration. I really enjoy having this lens.

Bright and unbeatably fast in combination with the alpha6000
A great lens (tested together with the alpha 6000). The technology is immaculate. I particularly liked the depth of field in the near range, but landscape photography also works. In macro mode, almost too differentiated, so to speak.. if an object is half a centimeter out of focus, it sometimes becomes blurred. Attached some examples. The only criticism I found - but that's not worth deducting a star - was that there was no bag, not even a pouch, but a lens hood.

top lens
Most has already been written about it. Focusing is quiet and accurate. Steadyshot brings it. In normal use, the imaging performance is at best achieved with lenses that are 3 or 4 times as expensive with a tripod and remote release. I also tested the lens here as a macro lens. Attached are the pictures: the 1st a picture taken at the close-up limit, the 2nd with a 10 mm extension ring, the 3rd with 26 mm extension rings, and finally a honeysuckle blossom with 26 mm extension rings. All shots directly as from the camera with APS-C, from the hand, intentionally with autofocus and steady shot. All without the 2x digital zoom, which is of course available with almost no loss of quality. I don't know that this imaging performance can be achieved for the combination with another brand for less than 3000 EUR.
