I don't face this issue even I'm in Texas. Try hold the suction part tighter. Personally, I felt it's suction part is already better than other product. Just go to a nearby Hoemdepot to buy a transparent double sided tape, it will work. I can't remember the brand, they have just 1 or 2 brands
