The weather station transmits and the screen only shows the current information. Historical information is obtained in the cloud account.

The instructions for connecting to WIFI are included in the separate sheet titled WIFI Simple Setup Guide that came with the User Manual/Weather Station.

You can connect to the Sainlogic WiFi using a PC, phone or tablet. Once connected, you can access the Sainlogic console interface built in to the console and configure your station to one of several weather websites. I suppose the console's interface is the api. There is no app like a phone app or anything.

If it’s a WiFi issue, just put a wireless router or hotspot inside the hanger with the console. But you are probably talking about the 433 MHz RF signal between the sensor and console. My sensor is located above a patio roof with 26 gauge corrugated steel roofing and it works fine through that and a house wall. You can try moving the sensor and console closer together, even if the console needs to be out of site in the rafters. You can then view your data from whatever weather website you connect to.

In my experience the screen appears to work and be visible in all types of lighting or viewing angles.

there is a free tier available, but subscription fee if you want some of the advanced features

Not that I know of, you might try just pouring some water in it. See if that registers anything.

I don't know as mine is a stand alone unit in my area. Never had a problem with wrong signals.

the web site stores the data. Your phone can see data from midnight forward. The on line web site allows you to see older data.
