Does what you would want it too.
I use a Canon DSLR Camera, cannot currently remember the name / model exactly but its a model from a few years ago. The top of the tripod is totally adjustable to the clip addon to the bottom of your camera and will clamp and lock onto it with ease. From there the tripod is sturdy and works without issue. I am sure if you spent even more money on a even higher grade tripod you could get even more out of it, but for the price I paid at the time for this tripod the return on invesment is hard to beat
