Great for consistent sound
I bought this thing to do some training videos for a search and rescue group I work with. The sound environments are always variable with wind, heaters, and vehicles, and I wanted a consistent tone and noise level so I didn't have to speak through the entire video and there wouldn't be volume changes from cut to cut. That did the trick. I also like that I can still plug in my iPhone while I'm using it, as the battery drains relatively quickly when shooting at 4K 60fps. You just need to make sure they are couples before recording. The only way to verify this is to record a clip, unplug the receiver from the phone and play the video, hear the audio, then put the mic receiver back in and fix it. Would buy again.
