Surprisingly Big!
I went a little differently with this bag. Normally this would be a daily carry for me. But sense I have been shooting almost every day the for work the past two weeks, I made this my work bag. Inside the main camera compartment I carry a Sony a7Sii with a 16-35 on the body, 24-240mm, Mavic Pro w/ controller and two spare batteries, Lav mic, and I still have space to spare! In the inside zipper pouch I carry spare camera batteries, memory cards and a few pens. I also carry a tech pouch in the outside lay-flat pocket, and inside the laptop section I catty my 15" MBP, release forms, and a camera strap. So far I am really digging this bag. It is the right size to carry everything I need. The only thing that does not ft inside the bag is my GoPro case. But with the space still available inside the bag, I can easily fit it inside and not have to carry an extra case with me.Now this bag is sexy. I really love the simple sleek look of the bag. The heather grey color fits just about any setting, if you need to look good shooting something such as a corporate or upscale event, or running around filming a a production line. The bag wears well and fits the body nicely. The straps are well padded and comfortable to wear for an extended period of time and the adjustable sternum strap is very comfortable as well. The bottom of the bag vert nice and seems as if it is moister resistant, so you don't have to worry about anything permeating the bag if you set it down. It is also covered with some webbing to use as attachment points for additional gear. There are really only two negatives I see with this bagThe only real downside to this bag is the tripod attachment. There is a small zipper pocket that flips down to hold one foot of a tripod, but the real downside is the strap. it is one solid loop strap. More like a compression strap. So you need to feed the leg down through the strap and into the foot boot. If you have a tripod that has support on the lower section, this will not work for you. If a new generation of this bag is made, an open strap with a nylon buckle would easily fix this issue. There could be a drink sleeve on the opposite side of the bag added as well, but I really like the clean look without it.The second negative, and far from being a deal breaker is the top pocket on the inside rear flap. I had placed my camera battery wallet in here. But when I unzipped and opened the bag, my batteries went flying. I then placed them in the zipper pocket. Having two zipper pockets inside would be best, but if you now it's going to happen, you either open the bag slowly, or utilize that pocket for something that will not fall out. Like I said not a deal breaker, but something that I noticed. If you have been thinking about giving this bag a shot, I say go for it. I am really liking this bag. I honestly didn't think i would fit everything from my old bag inside...and not only did it all fit.... I have room to spare! So I say K & F Concept, good job.
