Peak Design clone, fatal design flaw
In the box, it's pretty obvious this is an attempt to compete with other strap brands like Peak Design. I'd almost argue they're getting their materials from the same supplier. In a sense, that's a great thing because they feel great and have been very durable in my experience. The added black-yellow-red safety feature is a nice touch, though probably more for show than actually necessary as I've never seen a connection fail like that. The strap fabric is super comfortable.I'd say this strap has two major design flaws though that would make me reconsider ordering another. First, the plastic connector buckles are unattractive and never inspire as much confidence to me. I've never seen a string connector break, but buckles break all the time and are just generally unruly. I think the Peak Design anchors are a much better approach. The second issue is that the strap is plenty long out of the box to hold a camera just above the waistline of a 5'-10" person, which is where I like to keep my cameras. However, this is the shortest the strap will go and leaves the two metal adjustment sliders squarely in the back of the neck (see photo). Any weight on the strap causes them to dig into your neck. This is a terrible shame since the rest of the strap is so comfortable otherwise. I'll probably switch to a shoulder strap carry to be able to play out some length and actually use it.
