Great Quality UV Filter
This filter appears very well made when attaching it to my Canon lens it screws in nice and securely. Straight out the box you get that impression from the box itself the protective storage box, the filter, lanyard and sealed cleaning cloth than comes with it.
The filter is super clear, something that really shows the quality different to my old cheap filters. I'm not sure how much of a different a UV filter actually makes given the coatings and number of lenses it needs to go through before reaching your cameras sensor. There is a lot of debate out there so will leave it the experts to elaborate further.
However I always have one to protect the expensive lens from getting scratched or damaged. This is not something maybe everyone needs but I have seen and heard of stories where the UV filter was sacrificed saving the lens. For example at a motor sporting event a stone was kicked up and smashed the filter but the lens was thankfully unharmed saving the photographer a lot of potential expense.
