Quality Replacement with Proper Fit for Sony Cameras
This review is for the Sony NP-FW50 version
I tested these for a couple weeks with several charge cycles. I have also owned various other brands of aftermarket chargers and batteries. Having had good luck with K&F camera to lens adapters, I was looking forward to try their batteries.
Packaging:
Good quality shipping box. Includes a USB type A to USB Micro cable. Does not include a USB-C cable just a USB-A to USB Micro.
Charging:
Batteries arrived charged to about 65 percent according to what my Sony A7 was reporting and they do fully charge to 100%, but this can take quite a while, perhaps longer than the 2.5 hrs claimed. The LED goes from Red to Green on full charge which is nice and intuitive unlike on/off or blinking LEDs that other companies employ.
Battery
The tolerances on these are excellent. They fit several of my Sony camera bodies just as well as the factory batteries, not loose nor tight. They also fit the Sony OEM charges quite well. Battery power is better than other aftermarket batteries, but I don't think they are a good as the Sony factory units, but then again you get two K&F batteries for the price of one Sony branded battery.
My only gripe is that on the first couple uses, the batteries were a rather tighter fit on the charger than what I expected, but they do seem to go in easier after several uses and after about a month it's fine.
Overall I would say these are high quality replacement batteries and better than most competitors. The high tolerances of the batteries make a big difference as fitment can be just as important as battery life.
