Nearly only gave it 4 stars overall but then I remembered the price - and, for that reason, what you get here deserves the full 5 stars.

I tested the tripod well before making this assessment and I have to tell you that in my case it was a magnificent purchase. The tripod is as seen and described in the photos, a wonder I can not say anything negative about it. It is strong, resistant and pleasant to the touch and gives you that confidence from the first moment you hold it in your hands that it is not a tripod that can give you a scare. I think that with a tripod you can't play it knowing that your camera is on top either because of a shaky photo or because it falls to the ground. Good construction materials, the threads to extend the legs go well as well as the joints, it is not noticeable that it scratches any metal or anything, everything is perfect.

The ball joint and the shoe very well also remain fixed in my case, I don't carry a lot of weight either, but it is no less important for that.
The kneecap comes with a velvet cover to protect it, the entire tripod in a quality plastic bag wrapped and a shoulder bag type backpack with its handles and strap of very good quality and resistant, by the way the zippers are somewhat large and quality not small as in other covers that give a worse impression.

On the weight then, it is already a personal matter. It is not too heavy for me as it seems. I also have to say that I did not walk all day, but I also do not notice that it weighs a lot, you have to bear in mind that if you want a tripod with stability and that it is safe, something more than a tripod of some characteristics has to happen different or especially light as tripods intended for travel.

The removable leg I did not test but I imagine it worked perfectly. I hope my opinion will serve you and all this is under my criteria and my experience with this tripod.

This packs up small enough to fit in my backpack with all my painting gear. I use it to support my pochade box when I am painting outside and it does the job well.

Such a lovely little thing like I could not believe it that when I opened it up it was just as big as any other tripod but yet so very light. I could take this any where and will probably take it on my holiday with me. I was not going to take a tripod but now with this so light and so small why not?

This is a competitive market, and there are some very expensive carbon lightweights out there, but I think value for the money is key here. It’s a great design, and at 1kg, a no-brainer for travel. It’s stable, and with the hook under for hanging a bag or weight , it really locks it down. The ball head has a tendency to unscrew if you do panoramic pan anti-clockwise which is annoying, and folding it back down can be tricky to get it back in the bag, but overall it’s a great design.

Having spend a fair amount hiking and exploring, I was looking in the market for a lighter weight tripod (i had full-size alloy one ). I find this carbon fiber tripod affordable to buy within my budget. It is Very Light (1005 grams - Verified) so definitely helps for long hiking trips.All three legs are carbon material which can be adjusted into multiple heights using 4 circular locks on each leg. Each circular lock tightens a leg in clockwise rotation for a particular height and releases the legs to expand in anti-clock rotation. The camera mounts on a plastic made base along with bubble level to align the camera straight. So far I have used this tripod on hiking trip only once and my camera sits without any wiggle on the plastic mount with kit lens, prime lens and telephoto zoom lens.Each leg has 2 indexing positions which works well for me. My previous tripod had 3 index positions and to be honest, I never really used the middle one so it's not a huge loss for me. The legs extend with a twist-lock mechanism and slides and locks very smoothly, noticeably more smooth than my previous one. I do have a 70-200mm lens and feel I have to be a bit more careful when getting my shots set up because this tripod has a narrower stance than my previous one and with my lens mounted at full extension is a little less stable than I'd like. BUT, given my intended use and how compact and light weight this tripod is, I am very, very satisfied with it.
