Although I live in a town, it amazes me what wild life lives close by you. Since using this camera, I have (apart from the neighbour's cats using my garden to relieve themselves), had a couple of foxes, several voles, rats and mice, as well as a hedgehog visit my garden under cover of night, captured on camera thanks to this tidy little device. This camera is easy to set up and operate, and it offers great quality results. I have had a more expensive trail camera before that was not as good as this GardePro E5.Software - and the difficulties that can be encountered using it - is often an issue, but it is really user-friendly and easy to navigate. Batteries and an SD card are also required, but battery usage is good. Excellent product!

1. Bigger than usual outdoors camera,2. Lightweighted3. Easy to install4. Decent quality of pictures and visionI got it for my dad so he can observe wild life around the house (he lives on the edge of the forest). It’s really useful and serves the purpose.I think having experience from outdoor cameras that are used for monitoring, one might find this one has totally different set of features :)

Overall it is a good camera that can be placed hidden to. capture wildlife in the garden. Who knew there was so much action at night! It produces decent nighttime pictures but a bit miffed it caps videos to 30s.It uses a lot of batteries though and would have liked it to have an actual rechargeable battery to make it a bit more self sufficient.

This is a decent sturdy little camera. Set up is easy and the image quality is good. Enjoyed using the night vision, which works really well. The view window isn't great so you will need to use a computer to look at them. The sensor works well and from a few meters away. I would recommend this camera.

A good night vision camera. Requires some batteries which aren’t supplied with the product. Easy to set up and start up. There is a slot to extract data from the camera to your computer. The camera comes in a robust box. It’s structure is a hard plastic which I suspect won’t damage very quickly if dropped or nibbled on by a lion. It’s a light weight device too.Probably only suitable to a niche market, probably those who are looking to set up a camera in the wilderness.

The inclusion of a small screen in the unit is perfect, allowing you to hide this unit fairly remotely, checking footage and recordings on site, rather than having to take a card back to the computer. I don't know why, but I love the inclusion of the temperature on the footage. There are multiple settings to adjust for your needs, including picture quality for space saving, ability to capture stills, video or both etc. The night vision is good, but suffers the same as any IR solution, in that you have a spotlight effect in the centre of the screen. I'd suggest using some kind of shim/piece of plastic to angle the camera down slightly, as mine gathered a tiny bit of water near the lens. The 8 batteries is a pain, but I guess it is required to take advantage of the screen, and to extend the amount of time it can operate without having to fuss with it. So far I'm afraid my cat has been the star of the show, but this would be ideal for watching a hedgehog run etc. There is an option to connect a DC power point, but this may be only viable for those with external power sources that are rated weather proof etc.

now, i'm neither chris packham nor someone who lives in a relatively rural area, but i am interested in capturing some footage of the hodgehegs and the (singular) squirrel that have frequented the garden (of course since commencing i have yet to obtain such), despite the presence of my dog and cat (of whom i have captured plenty of footage).i am also interested in any sort of home security that this device offers, and to combine the two interests i have fixed the camera to a fence post that covers most of the back door area and along the back of the house - although i would much rather find the hodgehegs on screen than see some wee jakey with burglary on his mind on it, but it does add a degree of safety.the actual camera, though, is very robust, has so far repelled all weathers thrown at it, is both easy to set up and to attach rigidly to whatever has the dimensions to do so. takes a lot (8) of batteries but hasn't been sore on usage quite pleasingly, so isn't costing much to run - a few pounds will secure the memory card required, so little complaint in that area either. settings are easy to change, though i'm preferring to use the motion activated facility (yeah, i know for too much footage of the dog and cat!) for the peace of mind it lends. the post it's attached to is fairly dark, so the camera, with it's tasteful camouflage design, doesn't stand out, particularly at night.actually, if things work out the way it appears they will, i'll get another for the front area - unfortunately, that'll entail less hodgehegs........ and more jakeys!
