Thoroughly enjoyed adding an extra layer of protection to my lens from the elements. The protector didn't effect my image quality or auto focus. It provided a high quality image.

I put one of these on every one of my lenses. This is the best quality filter I've ever purchased - I'm impressed with the clarity, the glass, the ease of screwing it in. Loses a star because the case it comes in is HORRIBLE to put back together, and in fact I ended up throwing it out and using a case from a competitor filter.

This makes the images a little more vivid and clear. My daughter who is the photographer loves it.

Made from high quality materials. Precision built. It offered the least amount of resistance I've had when screwing on a new filter. It's very thin so it doesn't interfere with wide-angle lenses (as much as possible). Using a full-frame DSLR, I made side-by-side pixel-level comparisons between shots with and without a filter. One photo was a wide angle shot of the included sky on a high UV day. Results: Well, I didn't see any difference in color or richness in the high-UV shot, so I wouldn't buy it just for that. Most of the time, people just buy these as lens protectors (and believe me, they've saved my bacon a number of times on high-end lenses now!). As a lens protector, you want it to be as unobtrusive as possible, and I'm happy to report that I can't tell a significant difference in any test shot - color balance, sharpness, contrast - they're all so close I've never been could definitely say that every tiny difference was due to the filter.

While a clear filter might not be the most exciting piece of camera gear, it can prove valuable when it comes to protecting your expensive lens investment. This filter is optically clear and does not add a color cast. From my readings I hardly see any loss of light, nor have I encountered any internal reflections. The filter has some recessed grips on the outside that make installation and removal easier. Many of my older filters got stuck and were difficult to remove, but I don't expect that with this one. It's not overly thin, but I didn't detect any vignetting with it on the wide end of my 24-70 Lumix S Pro lens. If you tend to shoot in harsh environments or places where there may be contact with your front lens element, this is something you should seriously consider. It's affordable protection that's well worth it.

UV Filters are commonly used to prevent extended UV rays on the front element of a lens, and as a long time photographer, I recall the days when a UV filter was kind of a must-have, for protecting your lenses, long term... or at least that was the theory.
Unfortunately, much of that belief still continues to this day, and while the merits of a UV filter offering protection, are still very much a hotly debated subject, UV filters DO offer one very good benefit... they keep dirt/grime/fingerprints off the main front element of a camera lens.
In case of wedding photography, it's not that unheard of for a child/baby/drunk-adult to reach out and attempt to touch your lens... in fact, the attempts to do so, can produce some of the most incredible shots, if timed right.
However, the cost and difficulty to clean a good high end lens, is often a scale harder than simply cleaning a lens cover on the front... which is where UV filters tend to come in... they do a good job of keeping direct contact off of the actual lens.
I've used many different types of filters over my decades of photography, and among those, UV filters are probably the ones that have the most quality range with them.
This is the first K&F filter I've used, and I've been using it on a Sigma ART lens for the last week.
I'm happy say, this filter is a nice middle to upper range UV protector. Unlike so many of the cheaper UV filters, this one doesn't seem to introduce any readily noticeable color shift, or image distortion with the image.
While I'm sure, if I start pixel peeping, and comparing this UV filter to a >$200 one, I could probably find a few flaws here and there.. the fact is, this filter is half the cost of many of the other upper middle range filters.
... and lets face it. A UV filter's primary goal, is protection. It decent UV filter shouldn't be altering your images in any noticeable way. So to that end, this product does EXACTLY what it's supposed to do.
One thing the K&F DOES excel in, however, is the case the filter is packaged in.
The case is a hard cylindrical case, with an easy twist open. However, the nicer aspect of this filter, is the fact that the case has a silicone ring, with grooves in it, that holds the filter in place, while inside the case. This is something that many other manufactures DON'T do (including a large number of rather high end filter manufacturers)
While yes, this is the first real experience with a K&F Filter, for me... after looking at the attention to detail they've done, I'm now in the market for a few others of theirs :)

If you are looking for quality protection for your lens, at this price point, K&F Concepts is hard to beat. The quality of the materials, fit and finish. And the overall clarity and protection of this product provides a fantastic way to keep a variety of things from getting to and damaging your more expensive lens. It is a great comfort to me to have a guard that does its job so well that I don't even know it's there until it's successfully protected me. Overall this product is very well made, it fits my lens perfectly and does a fantastic job at what it is supposed to do. If you need UV or more importantly damage protection then this is a great choice which I would highly recommend at this price point. I have attached some pictures and videos to show the quality of the product. I hope you found this information helpful in making your decision.

This UV filter came in a nice round case. The filter was very clean out of the box. I got this filter to protect the lens front element when shooting outdoors. Lens cap fits easily over the filter.
When shooting indoors, I do not use a filter. I use it outdoors depending on the location and/or environment and only on lenses that do not come with a hood. It is a piece of extra glass that we put over the lens and I am sure it has some minor imperfections. You may notice some differences if you happen to be a pixel peeper.
This filter is good, I did not notice any degradation in image quality on pictures shot outdoors. Even though I do not use it indoors, I just wanted to test to see how it performs. On all the portraits I shot with this filter, I did notice some loss of contrast.
It is a good filter to protect the lens against dust, scratches and fingerprints. If it gets scratched, I can easily replace it with another one.

I know some people aren't fans of putting glass on glass, but often when you rent a lens it will have a protective filter on it. I needed something to protect my 35 1.8s lens for Nikon. That allows me to do that. Image quality remains solid. I just wish the case where this came in wasn't so big.
