112mm ND1000 (10 Stop) Nano-Xcel Series - Multi-Coated Optical Glass, Fixed Neutral Density Lens Filter (Special Filter for Nikon Z 14-24mm f2.8S Lens)
SKU: KF01.2015
To smooth out water in waterfalls or creeks, you need 9 or 10 stops of ND. The VND filters that go up to 400 are not enough.

It turns out it is 365 ND NOT fully 1000 ND. Off by a stop and ⅓. At this level, density is hard to hold but it is neutral in color.

Impressed with the photo quality using this filter... I've got a very critical eye when it comes to color cast using ND filters, and there is NONE. The fit and finish of the filter is also very good... I've had color cast with more expensive (different brand) filters.... I give this 2 thumbs up and I'm going to stick with K&F Concept from here on out... GREAT BANG FOR THE BUCK... can't imagine why you'd spend more... ZERO COLORCAST IS ZERO COLOR CAST, whether you spend $30 or $130.... Buy this one! And spend your savings on other equipment!!

You can spend a LOT of money on ND filters. I'm no pro, my photos make me happy but don't make me money, so I didn't want to spend $100+ if I didn't have to. But I'd heard a lot of stories about cheap filters having bad colour cast, or not affecting exposure accurately. So I figured I'd take a couple test shots with this one. And I'm very impressed.
The first photo was taken with my 5Div and 85mm f1.8 lens at 1/20s, f1.8, ISO 100. Untouched jpg SOC.
The second is the same camera and lens, now with the 10-stop ND filter, in about the same position (I picked it up to change settings and put on the ND filter): 3.2s, f1.8, ISO 1600.
To my amateur eye, there's no significant change in color or exposure... K&F says 10 stops and it really is.
For what these filters cost this is really really good.

Great build quality. The only issue is it will have a purple tint impact on the image, so it is not really Natural Density. Overall, based on the price it is a great value.
The purple tint is somehow easily removeable/correctable in LR.

This filter enables me to get dark picture effects when the sun is shining. Often times, stopping down does not produce the desired effect and the shutter speed is simply too short despite all efforts. With this filter it is possible to take long exposures with a reasonable aperture in bright light conditions. I am very satisfied with this filter and have no complaints whatsoever. At dusk the filter darkens too much and I would use a less intensive ND filter. This filter is my recommendation for hobby photographers! ... no idea whether a professional needs something else !?

An ND1000 filter is particularly interesting for landscape photography. This can be used to draw waterfalls softly, for example. For this I used this filter a few times on vacation and was not disappointed. I've attached a sample photo. (River with lateral water drainage) The image quality is consistently the same over the entire photo. The darkening is also even. Have fun taking pictures!
