I'm a photographer and photojournalist just starting out into videography, and one of the first things you realise is that the onboard microphone on whichever camera you have, just will not cut it once you start getting into more professional scenarios, and an off camera mic is the best way to go about resolving the problem. I was after a wireless microphone system that was affordable and capable of the kind of stuff I was looking to use it for. This particular one, met the criteria I was after as it includes a lav mic for pinning to someone’s collar for interview type material as well as a plug-in stubby mic for recording ambient and environmental sound, which is great for things like group interviews etc.The instructions that come with the kit are basic but easy enough to follow and I was up and running pretty much straight away. You insert the batteries, power on both units and press the channel button to cycle between the six channels and pick the one that works best without any interference. One of the units has volume controls under the battery flap, and this is the one that attaches to the camera. Having volume control from 1-20 is super handy as you can adjust on the fly as necessary. Each unit also has a switch to change between mic input and line input if you want to wirelessly transmit from a constant audio source like a music player. All the cables you will need are included and you can be up and running straight out of the box. There is a wired lav mic, as well as a stubby plug in mic. An additional wind shield is also included in the kit which is a nice touch as these things always seem to get lost. The wireless range in my testing has been good so far, and I’ve only used it up to around 20 metres away, but the signal has been crisp with no interference or drop out. Overall, I am genuinely happy with this kit; it’s super easy to use and the quality is definitely up to scratch.

Set up is simple, you have 6 channels to choose from, I left it on the first one, as I've had no interference issues, I walked all around my house and ou compact case with various accessories. I have only tried the jump leads and the torch which seemed to have worked well. Although the battery pack says c thick and stiff, so the mic tends to pick up the slightest of movement (hence only 4 stars) I will experiment with other lav mics to see if I can get one that isn't as susceptible to clothes rustle on the cable.

I used this for the first time to do some outside reporting and I must say it was very good. The sound quality rivals that of the models that cost ten times as much. Crystal clear and the batteries last a good length of time. I have a shoot to do soon with multiple mics needed so I might buy a couple more.

The M8 wireless systemworks well and is pretty reliable. The receiver unit is capable of putting out a really loud signal, so one thing that is necessary is to get the volumes set correctly. Itis very tempting to turn up the receiver really loud and turn the recorder or camera right down. I had my camera set at its lowest level and still had to turn the receiver unit down. Doing this reduces noise dramatically. The other thing to do if you want extremely low noise is to get rid of the the supplied lavalier for something better. I changed over to a Primo em172 (Little Clippy) mic which has a louder input and less noise than the K & F one. Result was that the receiever had to be set even lower and noise was insiginificant. So for the price, this is excellent as long as you get a decent mic for it. In my opinion, K & F don’t do the unit justice with the supplied lav.Originally, I was going to opt for the Rodelink but the price of this one was too tempting so I decided to try it first. I’m sticking with this one.It works really well and if I’m honest, I was surprised by how good it sounded. So the sound quality with provided lav is 4 stars for me (maybe 3 actually) because it’s quieter and more frequency restricted than my Primo which is loud and open sounding. Change the mic and you have a gem here, which for me, was a bargain since I could get another set for still less than the Rode.

It works perfectly, the supplier surprisingly also included a 3.5mm TRS (Female) Microphone to TRRS (Male) Smartphone Adapter with Headphone Jack so I was able to test it straight away on an iPhone 7 Plus. I recorded a 10 mins clip at around 10m distance and the audio was clear with consistent signal. Many people here have asked if this device works with mobile phones and didn't get a straight answer so I can confirm that if you intend to use it on your smartphone the answer is yes, it does work, just make sure that you have the TRS (Female) TRRS (Male) Adapter.

This equipment delivers a good result for amateur video - at an affordable price. I used is at a second mic during a presentation at a professionally managed business conference. It didn't interfere (the stage audio technician could easily check for conflict - because the frequency is clearly shown on the display). Using this setup I videoed myself for training purposes in a room with wifi, and maybe 200 mobile phones. The casings on the equipment are lightweight plastic - probably not robust enough for heavy use, but then again - very light to carry.

I am always looking for cost effective ways to build up my gear collection and when I found this mic I couldn’t resist, I normally use a Rode VideoMicro but it does have its limitations. The M8 is constructed of plastic and as a result is very light but it does still feel nice and solid. It’s really easy to use and can be set up in just a few minutes out of the box with the addition of 4xAA batteries which are not included. The volume and channel controls can be found beneath the battery door which is a nice feature as it prevents the buttons from being pressed accidentally. The audio quality has been absolutely brilliant so far and I really cannot fault it for the price.

I use this wireless microphone to record a speaker who is moving around the hall and is 20 meters away. I am surprise that how clear the voice is and there is very little interference. I like this product that uses 2 AA batteries instead of 1 or AAA battery. The difference of cost and battery life between AA and AAA batteries is very significant. The display is large and clear. I highly recommend this product.

UPDATE:Have this item for 7 months already and its just great! Batteries last for months, i take the mic with me everywhere i go because of my work, started to use the channels recently to avoid any interference. Just wrote this update to let all of you know that the mic works great after months of use. Use this 3-4 times a week.Helo everyone. I bought a lot of photography gear and I have 2 clients, 2 girls who have an online channel, they do make up and I film their show, I have 8 lights, tripods, camera and so on. The thing is that the audio was really bad because i was recording just with my camera and I needed a good microphone. Took a while to find what I need and I bought this item for several reasons. Well, read a good review from someone who is audio specialist, another reason is that I already have 4 K&F products and they are very good, I trust this company. I made a video review, the audio quality is not so good because the files are comperessed but the original is good, i am not an expert in audio but personally i am really satisfied with the results. I filmed since I got the item around 4 hours and it totally makes the difference. Why I bought this lavalier microphone instead of a regular one? Well, I am planning to film some interviews for some hotels and I really need this type of product. As i am working withe these girls, i have placed the actual mic under the blouse just to hide it and the quality is good. I didnt try super high end products in this niche but for what I need its very good. I have tried it like 20-30 m away and its ok, this is the maximum distance i will need it for, for my interviews. Light and easy to use, I know that i need to have with me spare batteries which I am carrying all the time, read that they last for a long time. You got in the pack a spare small microphone with jack at the end. The cable for the micrphone is long enough, clip is made from metal not plastic which on a long term pretty sure it will last. I will pay attention to the antena of the actual mic because if its going to be under the clothes(attached to the belt because this is where actually goes). I have tried different volume intensity, in my case found that 7 is good enough. My suggestion is to place the microphone around the chest area, next to the neck the volume was a bit too high(red indicators on my camera). Pretty sure you can set it up as you prefer. For what I need to film, it took me 15 mins of tests to get the sound i was looking for so happy with this. You know, when you trust a brand you go for it. In my case its like this. K&F very good! The box is small and light, has this protective sponge(think its called like this) and I use it to carry them from location to location. I just put the box in the small pocket of my backpack and its all good. Hope this is helpful for you guys.Check the video I have uploded. If my review helped you in any way, could you please click on the ‘helpful’ button below? Thank you
UPDATE!! for what I need does a good job, indoor filming at the moment
