This is a superb product! I am using it for 3 main purposes: 1) I do speaking engagements in rooms that hold about 20-60 people (theatre style seating) and I connect this to a good quality portable speaker, and 2) I record guided meditations, and 3) delivering webinars. The quality of this product is excellent - very clear and easy to use. The quality of the cartioid feature is even better than I hoped. When I record guided meditations in my home, there is street traffic noise that is clearly heard within my room. But the cartioid feature only captures my voice (I need to hold the microphone about 5-7 inches from my mouth), and surprisingly it doesn't pick up the noisy traffic outside. The only thing I don't like about the product is to open the casing, you need to squeeze the cover and pull it open. I worry that the plastic case will crack or break over time. But apart from that, this is a superb product and it's small and portable to easily carry to my speaking presentations!

Have only used it once so far, but given the cost point, it sounds better than expected. Needed to play around with the settings to keep the hiss down, but it is perfectly acceptable given the price point. Definitely a good starter kit for occasional use - just handle it with care and it should last.

Whether you’re filming a youtube video or if you’re filming an interview, the quality of your audio is as important if not more important than the video quality. The audio of the video for this review is entirely recorded on the K&F concept M8 wireless lav mic. At this price, this is considered a budget wireless option when you compare it to other brands. But that being said, the audio quality is still perfect for YouTube or other purposes. In the box, you’ll get 2 units, a transmitter, and a receiver, they look almost identical, except for the jack at the top. One says Mic and the other says Out. Each unit takes 2 double AA batteries (you should consider buying rechargeable ones), both units have a belt clip at the back and under the battery cover, you’ll find a channel button to choose between 6 different frequencies. This is great if you're outdoors and got any interference, you can switch channels to find something clean. The receiver unit has a volume button to control the level of the audio. I kept the volume at 1 for this video and adjusted the volume settings on my camera instead. There is also a hot shoe adapter that snaps onto the belt clip and allows you to mount the receiver unit on your camera. You also get 2 different microphones, one with a cord to clip on your shirt and another short mic that plugs in directly into the unit for using the whole unit as a handheld mic for one on one interviews.Overall, I am impressed with this unit and with K&F Concept's products in general. You're getting great value and quality for great prices without breaking the bank.

Selectable channels to make sure you can find a clean signal.Battery powered so you don't have to rely on charging.A well made unit and a decent lapel mic in the box.A box that doubles as a carrying case. And the ability to attach a shoe for attachment to your camera. That all makes this item well worth the money!!

a tenth of the price of a sennheiser system but just as effective. If you're debating between this unit and a more expensive thing like the EW112P buy 2 of these so you have a back up and with the rest of the money you saved buy a round trip to Miami. Also make sure you pick up the JK audio 044. It's this killer little omni directional mic that even beats the sennheiser one that comes with the EW transmitters. Plus it's only like 40 bucks so you can pick up a spare and still spend less than you would have with "name brand" stuff. Only con is that you can't have more than one transmitter going into a single receiver. Though this is more of a blessing than a curse because it makes it simpler to split the audio into a mixer and give the signal the attention it deserves. If you're looking at making great content one thing to remember is that the audio quality is just as, if not more, important than the video quality. With the accessibility of 4k cameras to the everyday consumer one thing that will make your content shine is superior audio quality.

As a photographer and filmmaker, I’ve used a good deal of high end audio equipment. I also edit audio and have a scientific training in the phonetics of speech, so I think I’m in a good position to comment on this K&F wallet-friendly lavalier microphone. If you’re in the market for a microphone for video shooting and aren’t really sure what you need, there are other solutions which might be more suited to your particular needs. For example, if you’re shooting home movies, you might well prefer an on-camera microphone like the Rode VideoMic Pro.I should start by saying that my benchmark lavalier microphone is from the Sennheiser EW series. This is because it delivers outstanding wireless capability and crystalline audio. Having already access to the Sennheiser and their formidable HD800 headphones for audio monitoring in the studio, you might be wondering why on earth I bought this budget lav mic?Well, a number of reasons. First, this K&F was for a project being run by my wife who is a keen filmmaker but doesn’t need world class audio to satisfy clients. Second, the Sennheiser is not cheap but this K&F is, so I was curious. Third, I’ve had good experience with a beautifully constructed camera backpack made by K&F and wanted to know if their other stuff was any good.So how does this K&F mic fare? Well, my wife and I agree that it does a very good job and is fantastic value for money. The sound I’ve managed to get out of it has been, I must say, surprisingly good. Although it does not compare to the stellar quality of the Sennheiser, knowing what I know about how our brains process sound, I doubt that most people would notice the difference in recording quality for ordinary home filmmaking.I edited my files in Logic Pro (and other apps) and the K&F was able to deliver files which cleaned up an absolute treat. Outside, as with most microphones, be sure to use a furry windshield, which will reduce wind noise. One recording I took was in a room with excellent acoustic damping and in this sort of situation when you might be talking to camera in your office space, the mic produced sparkling results. My wife (who has especially good hearing) listened to the K&F files in a blind non-scientific AB test with the Sennheiser and knew the difference immediately but also argued that most people would be thrilled with how good the K&F audio files are, especially after they are polished in editing software. If you need a lav mic for broadcast use, you won’t be shopping for this anyway but I would still encourage you to take a look at it as a solid backup for other creative projects. But if you need a budget friendly lavalier microphone which records very good audio files, this is highly recommended. One final note: the build quality is good. I've attached pictures showing the product close up.

This is a great fantastic product that i have had no issues with yet. The item that i received also had a lavalier that could be connected to a person's collar or shirt and then the device could be clipped at the back pant or pocket the cord that came with the lavalier is easily long enough for this. I bought mine back in September. Not sure why the picture doesn't include the lavalier cord but just a small little mic thingy which i think is much less practical then the lavalier. Hopefully the lavalier with the cord still comes with the product as i would like to purchase another set.

Very happy with the sturdy construction and packaging of this product. Had to play with the mic volume level to get it set right bit picks up voice nicely. No trouble linking the two together, haven't done a range test yet, quite clear from 30'. I would say this product is quite reasonably priced and worth the money.
