40.5mm UV Filter Nano-Dazzle Series- Super Clear 24 Layers Multi Coated Ultraviolet Protection Lens Filter for DSLR Lens
SKU: KF01.1769
You never really know if something like a small filter can actually protect your lens. My bag with my camera fell. I checked it out and the filter was broken but the lens seemed perfectly fine. I don't know if it prevented damage to the lens, but I'm very glad I had it on! phew!

I firmly believe in protecting your lens. This is a large value that does not cause distortion. We recommend.

This filter offers the protection I needed at a reasonable price. I've been using it for a few weeks and it fits securely and is well made. It comes in a hard plastic box with a small piece of foam. Would recommend to anyone looking for a UV filter.

I got this for a new lens to effectively protect it from dirt and damage. The threads are good and there are no problems turning the filter on and off. Appears to be of equal or better quality than other Hoya or Sigma UV filters I own.

I've used filters of this type as lens protectors for decades. This fits my lenses easily and seems to have good clarity and flatness. I don't have the instrumentation to do a full technical test but so far so good. Don't let the packaging and name fool you that this is a classic brand with a long corporate heritage. K&F or “Kent Faith” is a Chinese company established in 2011 to manufacture and sell photography accessories. The vaguely British-sounding name and German-looking packaging are intended to evoke thoughts and feelings of a premium brand association.

Protects the lens from fingerprints and dust. And reduces the haze a bit, especially nice when you get out on the water.

While UV filters can improve your image in some situations, most people buy them to protect their lens from splatter and dust without altering the image. This one seems fine for that, it fits my Sony 24-70 zoom lens well and doesn't interfere with using the lens hood or the original lens cap. There's little change in the amount of light entering the camera, and the UV filter can help reduce atmospheric haze on long scene shots and make the image a bit sharper. This filter also has a water-repellent coating. I haven't had to test it yet, but if it works like the one on my glasses, you don't have to wipe it off if it gets wet. Water that doesn't fall off immediately can be blown off with a hand blower, eliminating the need to touch the filter with a cloth.

UV filters don't do much from an optical standpoint, but I sometimes use one to add a layer of protection to my camera lens. If I'm in a windy or dusty environment, I put on a UV filter. I also like to use one when it's raining to keep water droplets off my lens. It is much easier to remove and clean an inexpensive filter than to clean an expensive camera lens. I try to wear UV filters with appropriate diameters for the lenses I use. As far as I can tell, the mechanical and optical quality is good. The filter screws smoothly onto my Nikon lens. This provider offers a variety of filters. The pricing seems very reasonable

You can buy a similar product for a third of the cost of this filter. The sole purpose of these types of filters is to provide a little protection from accidental damage to the lens: the aperture and this filter are the first and second thing to damage.
