Creates bloom effect around specular, bright highlights to add that dreamy, warm look to your pictures making them soft and pleasant to look at. If you're curious to try something new in your photography journey, this might be the best diffusion filter to get started with as it provides high quality for low cost.

This filter is sturdy, fits tightly onto lens and doesn't affect quality of your pictures thanks to its coatings.
It has a diffusion strength of 1 which which might not be good choice for everyday use, as it does decrease a little bit of light and contrast which you may have to compensate for, but if you're interested in creating that special noticeable dreamy effect on certain occasions - go for it.

Overall it's amazing filter, as most of K&F Concept brand lineup for on-budget shooters.

I've attached an image of an imperfect pumpkin.

The picture on the left was taken at 100mm on my Sony A7iv without a filter. The image on the right was taken with the K&F Black Diffusion 1 filter attached.

It's not the same as taking a picture of a person (unless you know someone with a deep orange complexion), but because of this punkin's slightly rough "complexion," you can see that those imperfections are dialed down just a bit. If this were a human face, it might be just enough to cover up any of the small marks that seem to be highlighted by razor sharp digital images.

I'm new to black diffusion filters, but this particular one makes me want to do some test drives with my human friends (!) to see if they like the results. Like I said, it's really subtle, but that sure beats the ridiculous "face smoothing" filters and features some people add to their images that make them look like something from a wax museum.

Also, I noticed it darkened the image slightly. Otherwise, I'm curious to learn more!
Subtle effect, but may be just enough to "take the edge" off life's little imperfections

This is another quality filter from K&F Concept.
The diffusion strength 1 means the effect of blooming is very noticeable even during day time, and very strong glow for light sources at night.

It’s a good way to make your films unique and creative. With a little bit of color adjustment, the filter helps create a magical feel to the footage.

Overall I use it to create dramatic effects for some video production scenes, as well as for personal photos and videos.

I ordered a 62mm and 58mm filter to attach them permanently to my two prime lenses on a Fujifilm X-T5. I must say I am very impressed with the packing and quality of these filters. They arrived in flawless condition which I didn't get with a much more expensive brand (not naming it here but they came dirty and scratched!). The diffusion effect with the 1/8 strength is perfect for daily use and I highly recommend these over the big name brands out there.

Haven't directly compared to a pro mist, but it's good enough that I don't feel compelled to.

Will buy more!

Not "overly aggressive" as some diffusion filters can be and about half the price of others. Adds a nice "glow" to lights which helps mimic the look given by uncoated, vintage lenses. Highly recommend.

Lovely filter, that gives a nice slightly soft feel to the shot and a lovely starburst, works well for nighttime street photography
Did not break the bank either

I shoot a lot of 35mm film using old vintage film cameras and lenses. I love the softness and character that you get out of these old lenses and film stocks. I find modern cameras and lenses to be so sharp and perfect that they almost look boring.

I decided to try this filter after trying others like it, and I’m extremely happy with the results. It provides a nice softness to the photos that almost gives them a painting sort of look. Some might find 1/4 to be too much, so the 1/8 might be a better choice. I personally like the extra softness, and I would recommend this filter to anyone. It is a solid and high quality product.

I do a lot of outdoor family photography and normally use a variable neutral density filter to open up the aperture for good bokeh (shallow depth of field). So I thought I would try this filter out without my neutral density filter and see what kind of results I would get. I was completely blown away!

The beautiful dreamy look with the sunlight and the skin tones was just absolutely stunning. I wanted to keep my aperture (F-Stop) low around 2.8 to 4.0 and my ISO at 200. So I just simply increased my shutter speed to around 200, which was actually helpful to keep a sharp focus. These settings allowed me to then use this filter by itself and still capture the right amount of light without overexposing.

Immediately after taking the first few photos, when I looked on the LCD screen it was just amazing. The sunlight coming in behind the subject was very surreal and her skin tones were just perfect. Another way to explain visually what I saw was, skin tones and curves were not rigid and sharp but smooth and glamorous. Obviously there are sometimes when you don't want that glamor soft look but for those times when you do, this is absolutely well worth the money.

As a professional photographer I would say, if you don't have this filter in your bag, you're missing out on some great photos.

I've purchased far more expensive black mist filters, and for the value price of an 82mm K&F Concept one I wasn't expecting this to be equal to those. I wish I'd known last year when I bought a pair of 1/4 diffusers in a smaller filter and saved a lot. I would highly recommend these over the pricier filters.
