The price was well worth it, I don't see the point in spending double the money on something that produces a great image as good as this

If you like a strong dreamy look, this is a filter for just that! The most noticeable effect is seen in the highlights when front lit, or contrasting backlit highlights. The highlights smooth out to a large, creamy bloom. The contrast reduces as noticeable with deep blacks becoming a lifted grey. Get this 1 strength if you want to really lean into the dreamy look over the 1/4 or 1/8 strength filters.

This is a review of the 1/2 strength Black Diffusion filter.
This K&F filter provides a subtle yet noticeable effect with its 1/2 strength filter.
The effect is mostly noticeable on light sources, for example, lamps at night. In day time, the filter helps spread the warmer tone during sunrise and sunsets. It also helps edge off the sharpness when the sun is harsh.
Previously I used a different brand's filters that costs 2-3 times more, but I'm finding that K&F filters provide similar quality at a much more affordable price. The affordable price allows me to get multiple strengths of the filter for different use cases.
I highly recommend this filter who is looking to add a subtle softness to their images.

Hands-down, one of my favorite filters it gives just enough of the black diffusion to make it dream and moody definitely coming back for the 82 mm

I have to say this filter isn't for everyone, as it stylizes your photo or video in frame, and it may be tedious to try to remove the effect. To use this filter effectively creatively, you need to think about how you want the shot to be and if this filter warrants that effect.
I shoot primarily photos, and I think this is an interesting filter to use creatively. It creates a dream-like look in your photos and performs best when used in daylight or with lights. I haven't been able to use it as much as I'd like, as the shots I've been taking didn't warrant the filter. I feel that this filter would be best used for wedding photographers and couples portraits as some clients would want that dream-like style, and they could see instant results in camera and either decide to shoot more like that or less. This is still a great filter to have on hand for those just in case situations, as I feel trying to make the same effect in post would be more time-consuming.
