This adapter works well, and has opened up a range of new lenses for my micro four thirds camera. The only knock I have against it is the aperture adjustment ring. Why does it have one? I prefer the one on the actual lense because it says what f stop I am using. Also, when removing the lens from the adapter, it is hard to grip and I am tempted to turn using the aperture ring. Which I don't think is good. It almost feels as though you would have 1 ring per lens, because removing the whole assembly is going to be easier that removing just the lens.

Worth its price, metal, good workmanship and fitty. The inner surface of the black paint semi-glossy, in the future should have a matte black. I recommend the product.

Extremely well engineered converter with good heft, a solid feel and a pleasing to use aperture ring. I can now use my old Nikkor lenses on my M43 camera, so I'm happy. My only slight criticism is it didn't fit on my camera initially. Close inspection revealed that the two tension springs were too strong but after a little fine tuning it now fits perfectly. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to use their Nikon lenses.

Surpassed expectations.I bought this without much real belief it would work. Just obtained a tamron 150-600 G2 lens for my older Nikon D300s and started to wonder if I could use the lens with my Olympus Pen-F which has much higher pixel rating and a crop factor of x2. It also has inbody IS.This works absolutely brilliantly! Obviously needs manual focussing which is assisted by the Peak focus tech in the olympus but has now given me an equivalent of 1200mm reach.Very well made and an absolutely snug fit to both the lens and the camera body.

For less than 20 quid I can mount my Nikon lenses on my Lumix amazing. No electrical contact between lens and camera but for this money you won't get that. Nice fit no looseness. Really pleased.

I have just purchased an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II 4/3 mirrorless camera and wanted to use some old Pentax K fit SLR telephoto lenses that date from some 30 years ago. When I received this adapter I was very impressed with the build quality - all metal with an excellent finish. The adapter went on and off of my new Olympus camera with the same feel as the Olympus lens and was a nice secure fit and the PK telephoto lenses attached to the adapter with the same snug fit just as they had on my SLR. I could focus the lenses to infinity without a problem. I really can't fault this adapter and it was well worth the money so I can use my old lenses. Just for clarification (in case you are new to this) when using the adapter there is no pass through electronics between lens and camera. I put the Olympus in aperture priority mode and then set the aperture manually on the lens using the aperture ring and the camera selected the best speed. And you have to focus the lenses manually too. Neither of these were a problem for me coming from having use SLR cameras before all the automated gizmos.

With the Pentax Asashi lenses on Panasonic GH4 it does fit very tight and there is no loose play at all. It also keeps things in focus, allows you to focus to infinity and seems rather well sealed - I didn't test it in stormy weather tho.One thing worth noting, it does not have anything electric to it, so you'll have to focus manually. It does feel very intuitive, both the installation and the usage.Strongly recommend if you can't afford the speedbooster.

I am extremely impressed with the quality of these adapters. I have 5 now, and while they might be a couple of pound more expensive than some others found on ebay, when you hold them in your hand, you know you're getting good value. They are all precision machined metal, with high quality finishes, and the control rings on adapters that have them, have a very satisfying action to them. For dumb adapters (ones without electrical contacts for modern lenses), getting anything more expensive than these adapters is a waste of money. They do everything you need and couldn't possibly feel more sturdy or satisfying to use in my opinion.Note: if you want an adapter for a nikon ai lens, the nikon G adapter also works, the aperture ring just doesn't do anything. I use the one adapter for both ai and g lenses.
