Yongnuo YN 50mm f/1.8N Standard Fixed Focus Lens Autofocus for Nikon F-mount Digital SLR Cameras
SKU: GW21.0007
Because of the positive reviews I wanted to try the lens and - yes, I liked it too - since then I've almost exclusively taken pictures with it. Must not be missing in any photo equipment (at least for people who have to pay attention to their budget). Thanks to the other reviewers!

Assuming I'm a newbie to photography I can say that this lens does its job very well given its value for money. Unlike the 50mm Canon, the Nikon, which even costs twice as much, is much better made, the plastics are solid and don't creak, it has a firecracker ring which the Canon lacks, and the insert is aluminum. When you hold it in your hand, there is a feeling of robustness and solidity. As for the photo, it's a 50mm that does what it needs to do, focus is slightly noisy but not that annoying. Advice for anyone who is just starting out in photography and doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a lens. Soon I will also buy the 35mm. Today I also bought the 35mm f2... What can I say, it does its job. Solid and durable bright lens. I prefer 35mm to 50mm and I especially recommend it for those who make videos and are just starting out

Very good pictures without flash in the dark sports hall with my old Nikon D90. In the room portrayed with flash... excellent.

The lens is very good and you can take great pictures with it! The autofocus is a bit noisy and a little bit slow, but that doesn't matter for portrait photos, for example. Very good value for money!

Delivery was the same day, packaging was neat. the small "Gift" the flash attachment just came in handy. To the lens. very light plastic housing, sits very tightly on the camera, has small problems here and there that the contacts are all properly seated. The AF motor is audible but not noticeable from a distance of about 1m. The AF could be a bit faster if you want to capture movement, but for products or portraits where speed is not important, it works well, even in low light. In the studio with lots of light, it is certainly an inexpensive alternative to one of the top dogs, outdoor for the hobby photographer with a small budget an absolute recommendation. For this price, an absolute top lens. My sample image: reduced to 1200*800px Nikon D750 ( ISO320 - f/2.8 - 1/250sec. - Daylight with small flash from the side, base plate and background each a black pane of glass. )

The autofocus sometimes doesn't work that well but for the price it's a really great lens!

actually bought the lens to try / play with it and I'm really pleased with it. I often take pictures manually and only take the white balance or the autofocus is on automatic from time to time. The aperture, which can be opened very wide, is a real advantage if you actually run out of light. The autofocus is not the fastest but absolutely sufficient. The lens is used on a Nikon D5100 with an F bayonet. It will probably become my favorite lens in the long run.

ordered this lens for my Nikon D3300. The reason: I wanted to know what other lenses can do. At first I was rather skeptical and looked at some pictures, customer reviews and videos on the internet about the lens. There is a good video on YouTube comparing the YONGNUO to the CANON lens - be sure to watch the video beforehand (video title: YongNuo 50mm f/1.8 vs Canon 50mm f/1.8 II ) My conclusion: Up in any case, don't forget to remove the protective covers on BOTH SIDES of the lens. - The lens takes a tiny bit longer to focus (although almost not noticeable) and is also a bit noisy. - The focus ring is a bit too easy to turn, it seems a little less well made than Nikon lenses + The image quality is really good + Handling is easy + The workmanship is very good + Would be on the "Nikon" lens and not If it says "YONGNUO", you wouldn't notice. So, for anyone who wants to try a 50mm lens and doesn't want to pay more than 100€, this lens is recommended. And about the delivery: I ordered it via premium shipping on Wednesday evening and received it on Saturday, so it was really quick. By the way, the packaging is not "cheap" either, but looks very similar to the packaging of a Nikon lens.

bought this lens because I wanted a fixed focal length. For the price, it's absolutely usable. Unfortunately, I have a bit of problems with the AF, the focus is usually too far back. Unfortunately, I cannot correct this on my camera for this lens. Example image was taken with F1.8, ISO 100, 1/200 sec and manual focus.
