Overall it's a very good tripod. At first I was somewhat taken aback by how heavy it was, but to be fair the weight is listed so no room for complaint and very quickly get used to it - had it on my back for 30 miles cycling yesterday and hardly noticed it. The legs fix in place nice and firmly and fully extended the camera is eye level and I'm 5ft10, perfect.But....as noted by "Siney - 2 March 2016", I find panning SUCH hard work as although the swivel head seems solidly built, the resistance is HUGE and is impossible to modify. As a result it's not smooth, not because of shoddy construction causing jumps, but it seems that the resistance is hydraulic and will move slowly to begin with but extremely slowly once pressure has built up. It is definitely NOT a tripod for sports or panoramas which is a shame as panoramas was one of the main reasons for buying it.Also the legs don't slide up or down very smoothly, there's inconsistency between legs. Minor point in overall usability but that's not something that you would expect of a tripod at this price level. Once extended, fully or partially the legs are firmly held in place, the leg angling mechanism is very good and once you work out (instructions missing) how to invert the tripod it's very easy to use for downward macros. It's not a top quality tripod but then it's not a top quality price, so 4 out of 5 just about sums it up - good tripod for a good price.

I was disappointed when I ordered the item and then realised it was coming from abroad and would take a month for delivery. The tripod was shipped out the day after I placed my order and arrived 12 days later which is fantastic service. The item was well packaged, plastic outer wrap over a layer of bubble wrap which meant the box was in perfect condition when I unwrapped it. Inside the box was a heavy duty nylon carrier bag with handle and detachable shoulder strap. The tripod inside was in a plastic bag and silicon packs were included to keep the damp off the tripod. The head was covered with a velvet bag for extra protection which was a nice touch. I was immediately impressed with the weight and quality of the tripod and appreciated the foam sleeve on one leg as tripods are always cold to handle. The legs extend with simple clip release action and they are in four sections so plenty of height without having to extend the neck, The clips are stiff but not so much that you have to fight with them and they ensure the legs are able to support the camera. The clips at the tops of the legs are easy to use and allows you to move the leg position for more stability or simply to lower the tripod height. The centre pole can be removed and inverted so the camera can be placed lower to the ground. The ball head is smooth and once secured very stable. It can be turned smoothly through 360 degrees and the ball once locked in place is very secure. The plate to attach the camera to the head is metal and the attachment is very secure I would have no worries about hanging my camera upside down on this head. There is a wrist strap to ensure you have complete control of your tripod if holding it in a precarious position such as the edge of a cliff or waterfall or balanced on the side of a boat, where ever you balance it the strap will ensure you don't lose both tripod and camera. Aesthetically the tripod looks expensive, the black and gold makes it look classy and although not an important feature of a tripod is still worth noting. I would happily recommend this tripod to others, for the cost of under fifty pounds including ball head and postage you can't go wrong with this fabulous item. I am sure it will give me many years of use.

This tripod is extremely well made. All the parts are metal and everything just fits together nicely. Adjustment points work smoothly and precisely. This is a really good tripod. It is not the lightest one out there weighing around 1.8 kg. Thanks to the weight it offers superb stability but if you need to carry it around very often then it might get heavy after a while. To aid portability K&F have included a decent carrying bag with a shoulder strap and the tripod folds to a very compact size. Additionally one of the tripod legs is foam coated to form a nice handle for carrying around without the bag. Each leg has four sections and can be extended to a maximum of 1,29 m, it folds to 44 cm. They can be adjusted at three different angles independently. Bottom of each leg is finished with a rubberised end cap to stop it from sliding around on slippery surfaces. This tripod has a clever centre column (23 cm) which can be adjusted up and down or inverted for low level shots. Additionally there is a self-retracting hook on the centre column so you can hang your bag there for extra stability.Tripod mount is located on a ball joint and gives plenty of adjustment options. Each adjustment point has a good size locking knob which aids grip. Adjustment is always smooth and precise. The main platform has a built in spirit level so you can always check how level your setup is. The highest the tripod can get is around 1.57 m from the floor to the mounting plate.Overall this is a very well built tripod that offers plenty of mounting angles. Would recommend to anyone looking for a midrange tripod.

Whether you're a beginner, an enthusiast, or a professional, there are some pieces of photography equipment you just cannot do without, one of which is a tripod. The dedicated enthusiast and those that earn their living from taking photos will already have one of their choice, so this review is for the newcomers and those yet to take the plunge. As with most pieces of equipment, there is a plethora from which to choose, so how do you make the right choice? K&F Concept has a tripod that sits in the middle of its range. The TM2324 has plenty of tricks up its sleeve to tempt you.Weighing in at a smidgeon over 4lbs (1.85Kg), including the ball head, it's not the lightest around and it's not up there with the top of the range tripods, but you're not paying Manfrotto, Gitzo or 3 Legged Thing prices. That weight might not sound much but bear in mind you might be carrying it around all day. Fortunately, K&F has supplied a more than decent carry case and shoulder strap to help. The four section legs can be adjusted into three angled positions for different shooting heights and the centre column can also be inverted for low level use. It's easy to do, too. To alter the angle, simply press on the gold clips at the top of the legs and move it. To invert the column, unscrew the bottom part, slide it out, turn it round and screw it back on to stop it falling through. The height can then be adjusted by turning the collar to the desired position. The leg extenders are the lever type and though some prefer twist lock ones, I have no preference. As for sturdiness, it does its job provided you don't go too heavy with your camera and lens. The recommended maximum is about 17½lbs (8kg), which is that of a high end camera and lens. And if you own that sort of gear you won't be buying this tripod; for CSCs and other DSLRs it will be ample for your needs. One leg is covered in a foam sleeve for when you're carrying it around without the bag (tripod legs are notoriously cold at the best of times) and the feet have a slightly raised centre for added stability. At this price I didn't expect to be able to change the feet, so these are perfectly adequate. There's an in-built hook on the end of the centre column from which you can hang your camera bag for extra stability. Just pull it out to use and when you're done it self retracts. The 360° ball head itself is more than satisfactory, too. It comes already attached to the tripod but covered by a velvet bag. A nice touch. The spirit level is an assist, as is the quick release plate. The only issue I had was attaching my camera to the plate. I found it easier to remove the plate, screw it to the camera and then replace the plate onto the head. A bit fiddly but nothing you can't overcome, and if you're using a tripod, you're not out for some instant photos, so the 15 seconds or so it takes won't matter.Though obviously not high on someone's criteria, the aesthetics are pleasant enough. Those gold coloured angle clips along with the same colour banding around the centre column collar set it off quite nicely. There's a carry strap attached to the central column not for extra stability, but to save you from having to scramble down a cliff or something; you wouldn't hand hold your camera without the strap (and if you do, don't), so this is a safety element. Although mine was missing, this does come with a manual. Well worth considering. This was sent to me by the manufacturer for review purposes.

This tripod is great for people that want a high quality, stable and portable platform to mount their camera.Included is:TripodCarrying Case + StrapThe tripod feels very nice and it is very lightweight. The weight is much lighter than other tripods but still weighty enough to stay firmly on the ground. The tripod is made from metal which gives it a premium and strong feel. This makes it feel durable and tough. The tripod has extendable legs which lock into place using the plastic clips. The clips are strong and keep the legs very secure. The legs don't rotate and are keyed to keep them in line and therefore reduce vibration and wobble in the legs. The tripod legs are quite long when fully extended which allow the tripod to be raised to a very high height. The tripod legs can also spread out using the leg locks. This allows the tripod to be tall and slightly more unstable or lower and very stable. The tripod also has a ball head and quick release plate which allows your camera to be maneuvered around in mostly any position you would want. There are screw locks which unlocks and locks the ball head and tripod head into place.Overall this tripod is great for people who travel often as it is lightweight whilst still remaining high quality and having a very high quality construction.

After a lot of investigation and what appears to be a lot of good quality options available in the market I chose the k& F and from what I have seen so far its the perfect choice and amazing value for money.Upon opening the box you can see the product is fantastic quality, easily opened up, sturdy when set up, my Sony A6000 fits on perfectly and is smoothly panned around with no issues. The legs extend with a simple smooth mechanism and still feels really stable, hopefully continued use will result in the same positive commnetsThe product also fits nicely in the cloth bag provided with no problems. The only issue is the product is a touch heavier than I expected bu this just supports the sturdier nature.Paul

I love this thing. Very sturdy, easily adjustable. Took some great photos of sparklers being waved around over a 10 second shutter speed. Opened up a new level of photography that my wobbly hands couldn't dream of

I'm well pleased with this tripod. The quality of workmanship, finish and smooth operation, make this a fantastic lightweight addition to your kit, ideal for travelling or hiking. It's very sturdy and can be anchored with your camera bag using the hook at the base of the centre column, which is also reversible for low down shots. The ball head is really nice, very smooth and has an integral spirit level. The tripod also comes with a really nice padded, zipped carry case/bag. I can't fault this tripod in any way and would recommend it.
