As someone who has used much more expensive scopes in my undergrad labs, this scope keeps up with them easily. Great value for the money. I'm using this one for recreational use.

This microscope is of first-class workmanship. All mechanisms rotate and adjust smoothly. I was also very happy with the lenses. They provided a crystal clear image on all the slides I watched. I was also able to successfully connect this to a monitor to view the slides on a larger screen. Also included is a phone mount for capturing footage. Overall I am very satisfied with the processing and the lens quality.

Overall I love the microscope, it works really well and I'm learning more every time I use it. I had to order an external drive to download the software onto my laptop after days of trying to get the electrical file sent to me with no response whatsoever. So I downloaded the software and am convinced that the camera is not working. So I just gave up the camera which is very disappointing as I have poor eyesight and it would have been a blessing. So I guess I'll have to order another camera from someone else, which is very unfortunate as I have to pay for a camera along with the microscope. And please don't tell me I should have just turned to you. I've done that without success. So if you want you can contact me.

The microscope itself is fantastic and with the right parts and software you can do some great things. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that instead of a link to download the software for using the eyepiece, it came with a floppy disk. And the manual didn't really give good instructions on how to set it up. However, the instructions did say to email them if you can't use the hard drive. When I sent an email they responded very quickly. The first link they sent didn't work but they offered other options depending on whether I had a Mac or PC and they gave me the right software for my Mac and it worked. It did take a while to get it positioned correctly to actually see anything on my screen, but I figured that out as I continued playing with it. The instructions weren't great, but the product itself was worth the investment.

I got this for my son, since he’s into all that science stuff, and he absolutely loves it. It’s a very high quality microscope, especially for such a great price. It’s sturdy and durable, and comes with a case to carry it around in. He really loves how you can project the specimens onto his computer. I highly recommend getting this, it’s well worth it.
