Got this scoop for metal detecting at the beach .after the plastic one wasn't doing the job.
It works great and seems to hold up great to my metal detecting adventures.
Notes:
You will need to buy and install your own handle.
It does come with the black grip, I removed it since I have the wood handle

Built tough. The metal seems thick enough to not bend when using it on wet sand at the beach. I use it like a shovel.
The welds look good as far a quality goes.
The holes seem to be the correct size, allowing you to sift the dirt to see the goodies.
dislikes:
Its heavy. (I guess you can't get the toughness without the weight.)
It is a bit pricy but then again, its built tough.
I definitly recommend this scoop. Its one of those purchases that I should have just bit the bullet and gotten first instead of the cheaper options. Its worth it.

Wow…a lot bigger than expected!
Worth the money, built well and strong when digging on the beach
