Motorcycle Bluetooth earphone with camera, 1080P high-definition camera, with Bluetooth 5.0, suitable for motorcycle helmet 6-way motorcycle communication system, 1000 meter intercom distance, IP65 waterproof
SKU: GW53.0075
Bought this motorcycle helmet camera, and suddenly I'm a space racer. Strapped it on for a leisurely ride, hit the throttle, and next thing I know, I'm dodging asteroids. Earth? Oh, it's just a tiny dot in my rearview mirror. NASA wants my footage, but I'm too busy outrunning shooting stars. Forget Daytona; I'm the interstellar grand prix champion!

I got one of these for when I ride my dual sport motorcycle. I like being able to Bluetooth my phone for music and the picture quality for recording my rides is great. Everywhere I turn my head to look, the camera records. The only draw back is the digital voice for each option. Often you can't distinguish the difference when it verbally tells you it's recording or even power on/off. but that didn't stop me from using it frequently. I even bought a second ear/mic setup to use on my street bike helmet.

I bought this as the group I ride with wanted me to be able to communicate, and I also wanted to be able to hear map instructions, online broadcasts, phone calls.
The group leader has a SENA 20. It took us a half an hour to pair up the M3 with the Sena. The only way is exactly the way the instructions describe it, which is roundabout and not like other systems. Basically, you have to treat the SENA system as another mobile phone, and pair with it. There are limitations then , not true intercom for multiple riders (unless they all have the M3!)
PROS:
packaging, appearance, contents, instructions all good to excellent. Good build quality.
Camera works as described, and a plus is that you can take still shots while video is being shot. Significant 'fish eye' effect - see picture
I took phone calls easily and the people on the other end of the line did not complain about road noise, even when I was on the highway at 60mph
Includes two mikes, a boom type and a button type
Battery life seems to be very good, Rode 4 hours with it yesterday, recording video and talking, no problem
Although he could hear my engine noise, the other rider said the audio was a significant improvement over just a headset connected through the phone.
CONS
The app to view video on the iphone without off loading the files does not work. Waste of time.
No Instructions are given as to how to position the device on the helmet for video. I spent a long time trying to get it right and still ended up with the camera pointed in a slightly off angle.
Speaker volume- max speaker volume could be louder and volume between apps is not consistent. For example, Audio instructions/confirmations from the system are lower volume than pairing conversation or map instructions.
Does not seem to have an option to record the paired conversation as part of the video without the road noise. This is a feature on some other brands.
Either the instructions are slightly off, or procedures not intuitive, but device is very sensitive to the steps you take to turn stuff on and then it is hard to know how to back out, shut down, or exactly where you are in the process.
If you are riding solo or 2 up and you both have the M2 this is extremely great value for money!
If riding with a group of cyclists with mixed headsets, be prepared to take some time to set it up.

So far this is great! Yes the voice sounds like a robotic foreigner but the quality of the audio, ease of installation, security provided by the mount and how well the whole thing works overall is amazing. Just as a headset it's worth the money. The camera is an added bonus.
If you use the RICAM app, turn the wifi on the unit on first. Connect to it on your phones wifi settings with the password in the instruction booklet. Turn on the app and then connect. Streaming live video over wifi there is a lot of lag, no surprise there. But using the app to browse the video is simple enough.

Took some time using this item before posting a review. After using a few times and going through recordings, I can say I'm overall pleased with this product. Music is clear and can be heard at freeway speeds. Video quality is great, both day and night. I angled the camera slightly on my helmet and it helped with cutting down the wind noise in my recordings. Battery life is great. I hated using my Go Pro as the battery life sucked. I can ride for hours and this will last the full length, even while playing music through Bluetooth. Overall satisfied with my purchase and would recommend.

Update: The initial unit had bad audio - The Company reached out after the review and honored the 1 year warranty without a problem. This is one of the best companies for customer service on Amazon. The product replacement I got is working as it's supposed to and will update the review in a few months. Great company above all else. They make sure to take care of you!!!

Video is clear and very simple to use. When setting up on iPhone was not able to get it to pair with WiFi but after contacting company they sent a you tube video explaining how to do it and was then able to connect with ease. Very responsive support from the company and understanding to my problem. Will purchase another for my father in law soon. Highly recommended this item!!

Not bad once you get it setup. Comes with both hard and soft mic which is nice. 3 buttons 1 for bluetooth, 1 for recorder and 1 for wifi and capture.
This is how I set up my unit.
Bluetooth
1 - Download RiCam in app store.
2 - Press and hold Bluetooth button until it is connected.
3 - On your phone go to settings Bluetooth and click on M3 and now your connected.
Recorder
1 - Press and hold recorder button until connected
2 - Click and hold Wifi/Capture button until connected
3 - Go into you phone settings and find RiCam app and turn off cellular data look at picture 2
4 - Go into phone settings and go into wifi and connect to M3 password 12345678
5 - Open RiCam and click phone icon and your video should show up. Adjust your camera as needed and enjoy!
The wheel is easy to use with gloves, turn left and hold to volume down. Twist left and let go to play previous song. Same with right but for higher volume and next song. Click center button twice for Siri. Click once to answer and end calls. Hold for 2 seconds to reject call.
I did take the camera for a ride wasnt 2 bad. Cant complain about the sound. As long as you place it right should have no problem hearing your music at hugher speakers. Just remember these arent no $300 unit and shouldnt be treated like one. Its a budget friendly unit.
I will give a full review once I fully test it, but thought I share about how I connected this to your phone and recorder app.

I haven't had one single issue with connection or with the device itself. I love the camera Bluetooth and walkie talkie all in one. This device is seriously a 10/10 in my book
