Makes my pictures look magical. I had been saving this filter specifically for Christmas, and I managed to get some great shots of the tree with the lights. It gave a very nice ambiance to the photots.

I used this on a Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 and a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 in low light rock band photography. The quality is stunning!!! I get tack sharp images you'd expect from Nikkor lenses, and this filter makes awesome effects with the stage lighting. This is also fantastic for nighttime street photography, making undesired street lights a special part of the composition.

I recently bought the Star filter...To be honest, I was wary. I'd never owned any k&f filters and from the other reviews, they didn't seem to be of great quality. Well, you know what? My filter arrived in perfect condition and works GREAT, I'm in love with it. Granted, I bought it on Ebay instead of Amazon, but the filter itself seems to be of sound quality.No Star Filter reviews existed on this page when I bought mine, so hopefully this'll help some people out and alleviate any fears! The filter works great and produces a really nice effect, I don't think you'll be disappointed if you're basing your expectations off the original images.

Vintage product with no book value, because it could come from a 80's inventory... but it works well
Well, it could have been difficult to give an overall rating.Pros :- cheaper than in my country ;- very fast abroad delivery ;- the filter is solid and works well ;- Amazon customer service was very helpful to fix the issue mentioned below (I got a total refund).Cons :- insufficient postal packaging to protect against mishandling ;- no plastic box provided to protect the filter ;- astonishing filter, because I think that it was actually built in the 80's.But now I have a collector !Have a look at the photo and guess where I was born and where I live... very easy... it's the world's most beautiful city !

I have received emails asking what a Series 8 filter is. In short it is one of the best ways to by filters. Every lens has a different method to attach filters because there are different sizes for each lens and different types. You can find a lens as small as a 4 millimeters or as big as around 200 plus millimeters for larger format lenses. You can buy a set of different filters for each lens, but that might get expensive. Or, you can buy One set of the "Series 8" filters which can be used on most sizes of lenses. All you have to do is buy One adapter for each lens that you own. Adapters can found at most camera stores or at Amazon for usually less than 10 bucks. So if you can find a good quality series filter you should buy it for less.
