I bought this for my 9 year old for Christmas I tested it out and it seems to be a fairly decent metal detector for what we are anticipating he'd use it for coins and other mis. Metals bullet caseing,bottle caps ....my son is a junk collector...... it found a big piece of metal about 7 inches or so under the ground...so I'd say it works great for the price

Was a gift and he was very pleased with it.Having fun digging u.p his mothers yard and blaming gofer’s. So far so good.

These things actually work, They wont tell you difference of metals like the big boys can but they will beep at coins or metal.

My students have loved these. We have scoured the playground for treasures. Love seeing there faces light up as the tone for off .. get some for your junior treasure hunters.

My five year old got this for Christmas. I hid quarters and some other objects for us to find. The detector did not detect the quarters, but it did find many other things. Lots of things were too deep for us to find. I did not expect the detector to detect things so deep. This product is a lot of fun. We can't wait to take it to the beach. However, it is NOT waterproof. Be careful.
