This is too cute and so easy to use! I have a 4 yr old daughter and she was able to use it no problem, especially because it extends depending on height. She has always loved looking for items and bringing them to me as treasures so I thought that this metal detector would be a great toy for her and I was right, she loves it. She was able to find some items in our backyard. We also took it to the beach this weekend and she followed along with a couple that had a real $300 metal detector. She was able too keep up with finding things at the most about 3-4 inches in dept in sand and clay-like compact dirt. She made some friends with a common interest that day, lol! It's easy to set up and start immediately since it came with a 9V battery. Also comes with a shovel and a rake for her to dig out the treasure she find. The beep is loud enough to hear with beach waves. Overall it's a great starter metal detector before you splurge on the real deal for kids to handle.

To get my kid active and get some exercises in the fresh air, I bought this metal detector. My son loves it and started detecting around our backyard.
The 9V battery is included! Assembly is very easy and all done in a couple of minutes. Operation is child friendly too, just switch it on and you are good to go. The Santa Claus and flakes display animation is interesting and keeps my little one entertained. An audible beep is also heard and the handle lights up when getting closer to the metallic object. It’s not too loud to be annoying so all good there.
Includes a lightweight shovel and rake, convenient for my son to dig up what he finds. No need to shell out extra cash for tools!. The large storage bag is a bonus, which helps us to store it and carry it out to the park or beach.
Build quality is pretty good, and the adjustable rod means kids of different ages can use it. All in all it’s pretty good and the Kids will love it no doubt.

Besides the coins I planted in the yard, the kids found some other interesting things. I think these are great metal detectors to try the little ones on---great to get their minds working and get them outside.

What a fun family activity. We bought this for our 6 year old. He's had quite an adventure discovering "treasure" around our home. The best part, he truly found a treasure! Our daughter's friend lost a very special ring in our backyard last year. Our son found it on his 3rd day hunting. We can't guarantee that level of success for everyone but it sure is fun to try.

I bought this metal detector for my grandson for Birthday. It's easy to put together, fun to play with. We've explored the backyard and found nails, screws, coins and water pipes. Next week, we’re taking it to a little sandy beach to see if we can find any treasures!

I was caught by the cute froggy design at once, so i bought it for my 6-yr son who shows a interest of treasure hunting. It does find something metal! Kids and I have so much fun camping and combing the beach. Even found some buried landscape edging in the backyard and dug it up, potentially saving us or the dog from a nasty cut in the future. Only problem is getting the kids to share. Might have to buy a second! Definitely recommend!

This was very easy to assemble and my 5yr old son can do it himself. It works okay for items that aren't buried too deep, probably four inches. We will be taking a trip to the beach this summer and I think he will have a lot of fun with it, whether he finds anything or not. I think this is a good gift for a beginner and it is priced cheap enough that anyone can justify the purchase to see if there is a true interest.

I bought this for my niece for Christmas. I had to try it out. It is made of durable materials and easy to use. She lives near the beach so she will be able to test out the waterproofness.

When I first turned it on I couldn’t get it to stop beeping. Turns out it doesn’t work inside my house, too much interference.
