82mm Variable Fader ND2-ND32 (1-5 Stop) Filter - NO X Spot, Nanotec, Ultra-Slim, Weather-Sealed
SKU: KF01.1805
This item can be extremely difficult to remove from the lens. Picture quality is not the best, but great fro trying out long exposure if you're new to it.

I ordered the 82mm version of this product and here are my initial impressions:Pros:-Packaging is quite nice-Comes with a hard plastic carrying/storage case-Has hard stops for the end ranges of the adjustable ND filter-Threads onto lens nicely (Sony E mount Sigma 24-70mm F2.8)-Built quality is pretty nice-Relatively cheap when compared to other high end variable ND filtersCons:-Will most likely not be able to fit your lens hood over it. I shoot with a Sony a7iii and bought this for my Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 lens and I am unable to fit my lens hood over it (although it fits an 82mm lens thread, the overall widest diameter of the filter is ~89mm or ~3.5 inches)-The filter does come with a hard plastic case, however is not a perfect/tight fit. I usually backpack with my camera and create a lot of movement, so the filter will bounce around in the case. Compare it to my Tiffen Circular Polarizer filer case (see attached image) and you can see that it is a tight fit and will not be bouncing aroundOverall, my initial impression is thatI will update this review on image quality, as I have yet to take the filter out for a test shoot (I will mostly be using this for long exposure landscape photography)

Over the weekend, I tested the K&F 82mm Variable ND Filter (ND2-32). I found that the image quality was great and I didn't notice any abnormal or uneven colour casts (see attached sample image). ND32 was enough to smooth out a waterfall on an overcast day. I think if it was sunny I would probably need a ND64 or greater. The variable ND filter ring moved smoothly and it was easy to adjust between shots. My one issue is quality control. I noticed a flaw in my ND filter in 2 places near the frame of the ring. I'm not sure what causes it and it doesn't affect my image quality.

Perfect for my needs.I make a lot of videos outdoors and since I can't change my shutter speed, shots are usually overexposed when I have my aperture wide open.I have used this Nd filter from minimum to maximum and the image is still clear and crisp.Fits on my sony 24-70 g master perfectly

I find the ND 2-32 gives me appropriate control when shooting strong light including sunrise/sunset and direct into the sun without lens glare. This is combo with camera exposure +/- works great. Bought the 82mm for two of my lens and a 77-82 step up for my 77mm lens. The K&F filter comes off easy while the 77mm step up can tighten too much thus very difficult to remove it. I will eventually buy another 82mm for my other lens and a 77mm K&F variable filter due to the great price for its performance. Minor corner Vignetting easily removed during post processing.

I got these for my trip so that I could do long exposure shots. Sometimes Minimum aperture is not good enough. I used these NDs on mainly max setting and in conjunction with some step down adapters. I figured it's best to get the largest size and then step down so that I can use it with all lenses. I was able to retain 98% of the image quality while use its max setting. One more feature I liked about this was that it did not spin all the way. It only spins half way from Min ND to MAX ND and does not reach any X spot at all. The f stops are also marked on the filter so you know how many stops you are dimming the light by. I did not see any color changes to the images that I got. Over all it was a decent purchase for the money spent. The case is also quiet nice to carry the object around
